Summer Retreat 2011 @ Idyllwild Pines
When a place holds so many memories, it’s hard to let go. Whenever you go back to that same place, you end up reliving some of them. Sometimes I just want to bury the memories that brought me so much pain; to just leave them where they once began. But memories don’t reside in a place, they reside in your heart and mind. When you take away someone’s memory, you take away a part of who that person is. Memories build people up, no matter how happy or painful.
In this park, I shared many memories with one of my closest friend. It was hard to let her go but in the end, you’re going to end up with a lot of broken friendships/relationships. It’s inevitable. But don’t sulk over them. Just take a breath and start a new chapter. A better chapter. Don’t let the past stop you from making a better future for yourself.
